What I think about, wonder, and contemplate. Nothing too deep or sensational. You're safe here.

4 months - New Record!
It took only four months for me to remember that I have a blog!! I'm getting so much better at this stuff.
Current news is as follows:
1. Gavin and I have purchased a home in the small little community of Myrtle, MS. A GREAT home for a great price, but it IS in the middle of absolutely nowhere. Sigh. I do miss the city...any city actually. Lois LOVES her yard though - she can run all over and become out of breath before she's out of property.
2. The holidays are upon us and this year the Dunn family will not be meeting for Thanksgiving. Egads! The horror! I believe we'll be going to Texas for the holiday though - so at least we'll get to get away a little bit.
3. Started my second year of teaching at V.C.A. I've started teaching grades 3-6 full time and just teach the younger one their phonics. Actually I'm teaching them words and how to read!! I have a 4 year old, Matthew, who is as cute as can be and man, does he surprise me with what he actually picks up. You would think he would know how to pick out the letters A, B, and C...sure can't. But he knows the letters I and J. He knows the word 'crazy' and 'Walmart' too. I've decided teaching children words they can associate with will get them farther along on their learning journey. :) They all know what Walmart is and I always tell them they are driving me crazy. :D
4. Amber is scheduled for a 4D ultrasound for baby Ella. Woo hoo!! I'll get to see my niece. I can't wait!
Well enough for now - I'll post more later. (Quit laughing - it could happen!)

Making Sure This Works
I figured out how to write on Blogger and let FB post to their site. I THINK, I have anyway.
This is a test, it's only a test. Everyone remain calm. Put down the oreos and give me back my canned corn. It's only a test!

It's Summa
Found my blog page again! It's just like finding money in your pocket or gum on your shoe. Nice little surprise.
Sooo much has happened since the last time I've posted a blog. Currently trying to buy a home (our first!) but having to wait on the bank to get the lead out. Sheeze Louise, they take their sweet time. Just returned from a mini-vacation with Gavin in Memphis. We road a duck!! Pedal-boat duck, but a duck nonetheless. Had a really good time and I'm already trying to plan the next vacation.
My sister is expecting her second child around Christmas time! It's a girl and I'm so excited to meet her. Here's hoping she has red hair like her momma. She's currently giving her mother fits - Amber is SO ill with this pregnancy. "Dear Lord, please help her through this time and make all the heartburn go away!" That's a continual prayer because I wrote it down. :D
Having a few issues with the South. Racism is apparently still okay as long as you aren't a 'white' person. I had the phrase, "white people are so stupid" said to me today and it REALLY ticked me off. Were a 'white' person to say that phrase in regards to other 'people of color' there would be a ton of ranting and raving about how white people are racist. BUT, put the shoes on the other feet and APPARENTLY it's okay to speak that way about another race. REALLY bothered me. I'm not a racist person: keep your racist jokes to yourself. (I just really needed to get that off my chest!)
Enough for now - let's see how long it takes me to remember that I have a blog and write again. No one place bets - YOU'LL LOSE! (Speaking of which, I do love Texas Hold'Em!)
